Hand-formed and hand-painted ceramics
KLEI pots/vases—bowls—tile murals/tables
My work is hand-formed and hand-painted, and every piece is unique. I build my pots and vases using an old Italian method. It’s a tried-and-true technique that produces sturdy pots, each with its own unique shape.
When it comes to painting, I draw inspiration from, among others, Arab artists who were already painting tiles and pots as early as the 13th century (Damascus), as well as from European Art Nouveau, which often features stylized flowers and plants.
